The japanese title is very interesting. It can be translated by “Alone in Paris”. I did not know that Paris can be written with Kanji : 巴里. The first Kanji is used in geography for a place where a large river exists (La Seine) and the second Kanji means village / birthplace. I guess this is because Paris is like the “birthplace” of the Seine river.

but before you replied, i had searched again and found that there actually is a album contains the french version…thus you can save your time searching for me :p

this song is originally french, sawada just covered it and also released a japanese version. the japanese title is “巴里にひとり”.

i tried to search the japanese version for you, but those albums which contain that song now are all out of production, so you may have to get it through auction, used CD shops or elsewhere. (or i can send the mp3 to you if you really want.)

recently i’m so fond of sawada’s songs. i have the original japanese version of that song you’ve played but can hardly find the french version.
